Check it Out: Roseville's Susumu Japanese Steak House

Posted on December 31, 2012

If you’re looking for an entertaining dining experience for the family this season, check out Roseville’s Susumu. A Benihana-style Japanese steak house, if offers similar food theatrics, including steaming onion “volcanos,” impressive bursts of fire and – if you’re lucky – a chef who flings eggs into his hat. The staff is attentive and friendly, and portions are large. Kids (who get their own menu) will love the culinary hijinks; and parents will enjoy entrees like the “Godzilla-style” beef (cooked directly in front of you on the grill with soy butter sauce, topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted cheese) and Florentine shrimp, paired with spinach. There’s also a great selection of sushi and hot appetizers.
