I had the opportunity to visit Enotria's newly renovated wine bar on Friday night. The larger dining room for the restaurant is still under construction, but the separate wine bar offers customers a snug, sophisticated haven for snacking (the menu is dominated by small plates) and savoring a wide range of interesting wines. Colors in the wine bar are muted and soothing, lighting is soft and the space has the flavor of a 1920’s speakeasy – if you ignore the huge television screen hanging above the black granite bar. Don’t miss the fabulous smoky sautéed shrimp, feisty pink crustaceans tossed with garlic, lots of dried chili and fresh parsley; and the palm-sized pulled pork sliders – served with pickled onions and a root vegetable slaw – were terrific paired with my “super Tuscan” red blend.
