A Celebration of Figs on August 3rd

Posted on August 6

Fig lovers, rejoice! On Saturday, August 3rd, the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op will be offering a class called “Celebrate the Season: Figs.” The hands-on class - which runs from 10am to 12:30pm and costs $35 ($25 for Co-op owners) – discusses the many pleasures of your favorite fruit and its use in both sweet and savory dishes. Participants will prepare items such as fig preserves, “elegant” fig newtons, and Etruscan preserved figs to serve with Point Reyes Bay blue cheese.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Co-op’s class calendar or call (916) 868-6399.
