Sacramento Burger Battle on Sept. 18

Posted on August 26

Burger lovers, save the date: On Wednesday, Sept. 18, some of your favorite restaurants are going to duke it out, culinary-style, at Raley Field in West Sacramento. The goal? To be named “Best Burger in Sacramento” by a panel of judges who include Patrick Mulvaney of Mulvaney’s B&L, Chris Macias of The Sacramento Bee, and Russ Parsons, food editor and columnist of the Los Angeles Times. The event will benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, and hungry participants will not only be able to taste (lots) of burgers, but will enjoy beer, wine, live music and prize drawings – and have a chance to cast a vote for the People’s Choice burger favorite. The cook-off event runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  (VIP entry is at 6 p.m.) and general admission tickets cost $55 per person (VIP Tickets are $75).
