Whether you’re hosting a Thanksgiving feast, or have been invited to someone else’s, chances are you have to come up with a dish or two to share with the crowd. The Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op is kindly offering a class called “Last Minute Thanksgiving Sides” that may help you in your quest to find just the right recipe to make for friends and family. Offered from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Thursday, November 21 (yes! Just one week before Thanksgiving!), the class will feature dishes that “are sure to impress any gourmet at the table” - from a fried Parmesan, kale, apple and walnut salad with Italian parsley vinaigrette; to individual sausage, spinach and mushroom stuffings; potato Gruyère soufflé; and charred Brussels sprouts with bacon picada. The class costs $45 ($35 for Co-op owners), and you can register through the Co-op’s website.
