I Skate, You Skate

Some may argue that the last thing to do on a cold, dreary day is go ice skating. But it’s so in season—and a lot of fun, whether you look graceful or goofy on the ice. Skate outdoors through Jan. 21 at these locations:

DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO ICE RINK Seventh and K streets downtownsac.org/events/ice-rink

ICE RINK AT OLD TOWN Elk Grove Boulevard and Railroad Street, Old Town Elk Grove elkgrovecity.org/icerink

FOLSOM HISTORIC DISTRICT ICE RINK Sutter Street, Historic Folsom historicfolsom.org/sutterstreeticerink.cfm

Bring the fun indoors at these area ice rinks:

ICELAND ICE SKATING RINK 1430 Del Paso Blvd. (916) 925-3121 skatesacramento.com

SKATETOWN ROSEVILLE 1009 Orlando Ave. (916) 783-8550 skatetown-roseville.com

TRY IT: Gather a group of friends and play a game of broomball at Skatetown Roseville. Also referred to as “broom hockey,” the game is played on a roughened ice surface in your own street shoes. For more information, go to skatetown-roseville.com.
