SacWorldFest 2012

Posted on October 3

Celebrate the region’s cultural diversity this weekend, Oct. 6–7 at SacWorldFest 2012, taking place in Old Sacramento.

Music, dancing, storytelling, children’s theater and a fashion show are among the activities taking place at the all-ages event.

The fun kicks off Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at Waterfront Park (Front and L streets) with a performance by Band H'Sao. The show runs until 9 p.m., and admission is $5 for ages 13 and older (children 12 and younger get in for free). On Sunday, come back out and see Old Sacramento transformed into vast multicultural center. There will be music and dancing on multiple stages (and you’ll have an opportunity to boogie yourself), children’s theater performances, cooking demos, a fashion show and more. Sunday’s activities, which are free, are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
