Back in 2006, Sacramento was saddened to see the closure of Tower Records. After the business closed its doors, founder Russ Solomon decided to donate more than 200 boxes full of historic Tower materials to the Center for Sacramento History, the official archival repository for the city and county of Sacramento.
If you’ve ever wanted a glimpse at the contents of those boxes, from now through February a small sampling of the Tower Records Collection will be displayed at City Hall’s Robert T. Matsui Gallery. The exhibition is a great way to reflect on the cultural significance Tower Records has had on our town, as well as on the rest of the world. For more information, click here.
