You and the Kids Can Still Help the Hungry

OK, so let’s say you have no plans to participate in Run To Feed the Hungry on Thanksgiving, you never made it out to drop off a turkey during one of the local turkey drives earlier this month and the check you intended to send to one of the area food banks just never got written. You can still help the hungry this Thanksgiving season.

Fairytale Town is holding a Free Admission Day & Canned Food Drive on Friday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring some canned food (maybe one can per person?) for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and admission is free.

It’s a win-win-win: You teach by example the act of giving to others; your child gets to unleash some energy on the Crooked Mile or flex some creative muscle doing arts and crafts; and you get the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped someone in need this holiday season.

One very important note: You must be accompanied by a child to enter Fairytale Town.

What: Free Admission Day & Canned Food Drive
When: Friday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Where: Fairytale Town, 3901 Land Park Drive, Sacramento
Cost: Free
