Win-Win: Help Local Preschool, Ditch Your E-Waste

Posted on January 7

Bring unwanted or nonworking VCRs, computers, car stereos, televisions and other electronics to the Tiny Tots Preschool Free Electronic-Waste Collection Fundraiser this Saturday, Jan. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You'll help a local preschool and the environment at the same time!

The event will be held in the school’s parking lot, located at 1949 Bell St. in Sacramento (between Alta Arden Expressway and Cottage Way). You don’t even have to leave your car--volunteers will unload the goods for you. One last thing: there's no need to worry about identity theft from sensitive or personal information on donated items. All accepted computer hard drives will be shredded.

For more information, including a list of what not to bring, log onto www.tinytotspreschool.org/newsflash.html or call (916) 925-6673.
