An Afternoon With Hill Harper

Posted on March 26

Actor, author, philanthropist and Sacramento native Hill Harper will be making an appearance in the Cap City this Sunday when the Sacramento Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, presents An Afternoon With Hill Harper. The Links, an African-American women’s service organization, hopes Harper, a graduate of Brown University, Harvard Law School (where he was a classmate of President Barack Obama) and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government will inspire the many youth in attendance to recognize their potential and stay on course with school and life goals. Harper has some experience motivating young people. His books Letters to a Young Brother and Letters to a Young Sister speak directly to youth about the challenges they face and offer advice on how to sidestep them and stay on track. We heard tickets to the event, to be held at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West, are sold out, but we encourage you to log onto sacramentolinks.org just in case any last-minute ones appear. Otherwise, you can catch Harper as Dr. Sheldon Hawkes on “CSI: NY.”
