Starting today, every night this week features some top-notch comedy show somewhere in Sacramento.
Tuesday and Wednesday, you can catch famous funnyman Dave Attell, star of Comedy Central’s cult classic “Insomniac,” at the Punch Line. His off kilter brand of comedy and laid-back attitude kill with crowds all over the country.
Thursday night, head over to Sac State for a free show of the Upright Citizens Brigade. Probably the best purveyor of improv comedy on the West Coast, UCB boasts famous alums from their theaters in New York and Los Angeles. This road show promises to be a rare glimpse into the hilarity that goes on every night at their home theaters. And you can’t beat the price.
Thursday through Sunday, you can catch SNL alum and star of such questionable movies as Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and The Animal, Rob Schneider, at Tommy T’s in Rancho Cordova. Schneider’s a warm and funny guy, and his character-laced stand-up show is bound to please.
