Clawssical Music Concert

Posted on June 11

Mira Loma High School junior Betty Yimeng Teng is completing a big endeavor this coming Friday, June 15. She organized and will perform a piano recital, with proceeds benefiting the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary and Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary.

Clawssical Music Concert” takes place at Folsom Lake College’s Three Stages from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults (ages 18-65); $8 for students, seniors and children.

An award-winning pianist, Teng has been playing for about 13 years. In addition to her love of music and her belief about the positive impact it has on society, Teng also has a strong love for animals. She has donated money from scholarships from past piano competitions to the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary and has been an active volunteer at Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary since eighth grade.

Tickets are available at Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary, 6001 Folsom Blvd. in East Sacramento; (916) 556-1155; happytails.org. The shelter is open Wednesday–Sunday from noon–6 p.m. You also can get tickets from Teng; call her at (916) 351-9918.
