Free Admission to the Military Museum

Posted on June 28

Ever been to the California State Military Museum in Old Sacramento? If not, July 4 might be the perfect day to go; admission is free! The museum, located in at 1119 Second St., is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn about California’s military history, the many Californians who served our country (including Gen. George Patton) and view actual artifacts. Important to note, though: the museum’s intent is not to glorify war but instead serves to remind visitors of the sacrifices made by others to keep our state and country free.
