Grape Days of Summer: From Vine to Wine

Enjoy wine from several Placer County wineries during the Grape Days of Summer winery tour taking place this weekend, Aug. 4–5, along the Placer County Wine Trail: Lincoln, Loomis, Auburn and Newcastle. Hosted by the Placer County Vintners Association, the event will feature—in addition to wine, of course—vineyard tours, cork presentations, blending seminars and Placer County wine history as well as music and food.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door, and include wine tastes at all participating wineries, food, music, educational activities and a special commemorative wine glass. Designated drivers get in for $10.
