Dine with the animals Saturday, June 23 at the Sacramento Zoo’s King of Feasts Wine & Food Luau. Listen to the music of the Na Aikane Ukulele Club and guitarist Kalei Kema as you stroll, sip and nosh your way around the zoo. Say “aloha” to the dancers of Hula Event and Kaulumele Polynesian Dance Group. And—if you feel so bold—try your hand (or should we say hips?) at the Hula-Hoop yourself. Make sure to check out the fun stuff up for bid at three different silent auctions—and feel good when you place a bid, knowing the money is going to support the zoo.
King of Feasts runs from 6–9 p.m. Tickets are $50, with zoo members getting in for $45. Tickets on the day of the event are $60. Two important pieces of business to note: 1) you must be 21 or older to attend King of Feasts and 2) the zoo closes early on Saturday—at 1:30 p.m.—to prepare for the evening festivities.
