Throw on the largest hat you can find and get ready to head off to the races. The Kentucky Derby marks its 139th year on May 4 and you’re invited to celebrate, while raising awareness and resources for neglected, abused or at-risk foster youth. Mulvaney’s B&L will host Derby Days 2013, which features a live broadcast of the derby races on multiple big screens, delicious and authentic Southern food, the first annual “Triple Crown” hat contest, and raffle prizes valued at more than $3,000.
Proceeds will benefit Lilliput Children’s Services and the foster, adopted and kinship children and youth they serve. Lilliput completes about 500 adoptions every year for California Foster Children, the most of any private agency in the state. For more information, click here.
