Ciao! Amico! Everybody’s Italian at Festa Italiana, taking place this Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 3 and 4, at the Croatian American Cultural Center. (Yes, at the Croatian American Cultural Center. See? Different nations can get along.) There will be Italian music and dancing (The Don Giovannis, Moreno Fruzzetti, Bambini Dancers), an Italian marketplace (jewelry, ceramics, leather goods, gourmet food), games for the kids (including a salami toss) and, of course, Italian food! Try your hand at bocce ball and check out the Italian car and motor scooter shows. You might even win a trip for two to Italy! Can I get a “Mama Mia!”? The annual event, put on by the Italian Cultural Society of Sacramento, runs from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday. The Croatian American Cultural Center is located at 3730 Auburn Blvd. in Sacramento. Admission is $12 general with free admission for children ages 15 and younger.
