Who says Pink Floyd and Rush can’t mix with Vivaldi? When the eclectic musical duo Montana Skies merges guitars and cellos—sometimes electric, sometimes acoustic—anything goes. It’s fusion, it’s far out and it’s fun. It’s also a husband-and-wife team: Jonathan and Jennifer Adams (he’s the guitarist; she’s the cellist) met while studying music at the University of Georgia in Athens. Since then, they’ve been blazing musical trails, including a No. 1 spot on the world and instrumental music radio chart for their debut CD. On Oct. 17, they’ll blaze their way into town for a concert at the Crocker. For tickets, call (916) 808-1182 or pick them up in person at the museum admission desk.
