Beers N Movie Night

Posted on July 23

Sink your teeth into a horror classic when Beers N Fears teams up with the Discovery Museum to bring you a boozy screening of “Night of the Living Dead.” On the evening of July 25, the Discovery Museum is opening its gates for a special late-night scarefest guaranteed to delight both horror buffs and casual watchers alike. The George A. Romero zombie juggernaut at the center of the event dates back to 1968, but it hasn't lost any of its propensity to strike terror into the hearts of audiences. In our current zombie-saturated culture, we're used to the seeing the undead sprint around and wield weapons. “Living Dead” brings us back to a simpler and more quietly sinister era in which zombies are slow, incomprehensible, and always hungry for human flesh. While you enjoy the zombies on screen, you can toss back a few beers—the movie ticket includes two beers (plus soft drinks and water, if you prefer). Since seating is on the lawn, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. All proceeds benefit the Discovery Museum. For more information, see here.

What: Beers N Movie Night
When: July 25, 8:45 p.m. (gates open at 7 p.m.)
Where: Discovery Museum Science & Space Center, 3615 Auburn Blvd., Sacramento
Cost: $10
