The Dandy Warhols

Posted on April 23

Joe Eisner

Sacramento's been on a hot streak lately. Sometimes it feels like every half-decent touring band forgets that Sacramento even exists. But then there are seasons like this one, where we keep getting good band after good band rolling through. The next hot upcoming show is the Dandy Warhols, who'll be taking over the stage at Ace of Spades on April 24.

Hailing from Portland, these alt rockers have been on the edge of fame for two decades now. In 2001, they broke out into the mainstream with their hit song "Bohemian Like You." But unwilling to commit the musical crime of selling out, the Dandies returned to their neo-psychedelia roots and have been subsumed back into the independent rock scene since. You may not hear their name on the radio, but you'll definitely hear their name on the tongues of music lovers in the know. For more information, see here.

What: The Dandy Warhols
When: Thursday, April 24, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Ace of Spades, 1418 R St., Sacramento
