This stunning restaurant (owned by the Selland family and designed by award-winning European architects) is a manicured, elegant oasis from the gritty hustle and bustle outside. When you enter, the first thing you see is the lavish seafood bar, offering a beautiful selection of shellfish and bivalves atop mounds of glittering ice. (This also is where Ella’s famous handcrafted cocktails are made.) Chef Kelly McCown’s menu changes seasonally, but don’t miss the wood-oven meatballs and the restaurant’s famous pappardelle and poached egg with crispy prosciutto and preserved-lemon butter sauce.
