Thirty years ago, owner Mai Pham introduced regional Asian cooking to a timid Sacramento marketplace. Local tastes have grown more sophisticated since then. But Lemon Grass is still serving delicious, upscale Asian fare such as salad rolls, monk’s curry, catfish in a clay pot, and shaking beef (a Vietnamese-French classic). Everything tastes fresh, light and clean. It’s Asian food like Pham’s Vietnamese grandmother used to make.
