This event occurs weekly on Sunday, Friday and Saturday.

Description

Sacramento’s OVATION STAGE presents:

“DARK MEETS LIGHT”

A World Premiere written and directed by Penny Kline
(DARK MEETS LIGHT is based on the concept of the play
 NO EXIT by Jean-Paul Sartre.)

“DARK MEETS LIGHT” is a surreal and existential drama exhibiting the

notion that other people are our hell.

Synopsis:

Two women and two men are locked up together for eternity in one bleak room in hell. There are no windows, no mirrors, the lights can never be turned off and there is no exit. The irony of this hell is that its torture is not of the rack and fire, but of the burning humiliation of each soul as it is stripped of its pretenses by the cruel curiosity of the other damned characters. Here the soul is shorn of secrecy, and even the blackest deeds are mercilessly exposed to the fierce light of hell. It is an eternal torment.
