Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph

 

Resurrection Theatre presents our first show of the 2013 season Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph directed by Margaret Morneau   Over the course of 30 years, the lives of Kayleen and Doug intersect at the most bizarre intervals, leading the two childhood friends to compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together.   “Gruesome Playground Injuries,” a drama dealing with the power of rituals. Each scene revolves around a new wound — whether accidental, self-inflicted or from fights with others — sustained by two emotionally damaged friends who minister to each other’s physical hurts but struggle to tend to their psychological pain.       Gruesome Playground Injuries will play January 18 - February 9, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Special Discount Showing Thursday January 24th at 8pm in the Wilkerson Theatre.   Tickets are $12 - 15 and can be purchased online at www.resurrectiontheatre.com or by calling 916-223-9568.
