\n Colla Voce Chamber Singers will usher in the season tradi tions with a candlelight concert experience\, featuring music from many cu stoms and cultures. The experience was designed by Artistic Director\, Jan ine Dexter with the hope of creating multi-sensory beauty that accentuate the mystery and wonder of the traditions embraced at the closing of each y ear.

\n\n The songs include a variety of genres from ea rly Latin chant\, Rachmaninoff\, Lauridsen and Whitacre\, to traditional C hanukah folk songs\, music celebrating light\, dawn and solstice and famil iar\, well-loved Christmas melodies. The Chamber Singers are collaborating with choreographer Debbi Sampson and Pamelot School of Dance to present t he Scandinavian Winter Solstice story of Santa Lucia Queen of Light. In th e custom of Colla Voce\, the audience will be involved in the creation of the experience.

\n\n Opening night is Saturday\, Decemb er 8\, at Grace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley\, beginning at 7 pm. Aubur n’s concerts are Sunday\, December 9\, at Pioneer Methodist Church\, a mat inee at 3 pm and an evening concert at 7 pm.
